Meet Sam Kirby

Hi there! My name is Sam Kirby. I’m a professional videographer, storyteller, and editor from Bowling Green, KY. I live with my wife Jessica and our young, spunky golden doodle Scarlet. Over the last 8 years of my life, I’ve gotten the opportunity to tell stories for brands, companies, and brides. And over that time, I’ve been able to keep busy in a variety of industries and have seen the most success with my main full time business, Vid Monster.

At VMP one of our core tenets is to capture moments in a way that manifestly emotionally impacts the viewer. My company has seen enormous success and growth in the advertising and business media production space, but decided several years ago to focus exclusively on businesses.

However, I believe capturing wedding video and providing peace of mind to a couple on one of the biggest day of their lives checks the same box for me as an independent professional. Brides and grooms deserve respect, a high quality of service, and attention to detail that results in a very personal keepsake of their most precious memories. My values as a videographer are versatility, visual storytelling, motion and reliability.

VERSATILITY: Each video story project is unique and needs to adapt to specific needs and challenges along the way. I strive to make each wedding video I create customized to each couple I work with.

VISUAL STORYTELLING: True visual storytelling with video isn’t about having the world’s biggest or highest resolution camera, it’s about being able to stay tuned in to fine details and subtleties, and to put those on display. If one can do that, then they turn something from a technical capability into an art form.

MOTION: Every single shot, with few exceptions, should be in motion. As humans, our eyes and perspectives on scenes around us are always moving. Controlled motion takes a simple video into something experiential, so most every shot in your video will be moving.

RELIABILITY: There are a lot of details to worry about leading up to a wedding. Jess and I experienced that firsthand in the process of arranging details for our May 2022 wedding. You deserve a professional videographer who is punctual, experienced, and ready to capture each and every moment throughout your day.

When it comes down to it, it’s all about providing a high quality service for a fair price to create new opportunities. And if beautiful memory videos are the byproduct, that’s peachy. I love what I do :)
